Add an equipment annotation.

Record practical knowledge beside the equipment it describes.

  1. Click + Annotation, then click the place in the model where the label should appear.
  2. In New Annotation, enter a Title and Description. Use a name your team recognises.
  3. Attach documents with Add Files if needed, then click Save. The annotation appears in the model and the list.

Enable Show Live Data when a data source has already been connected. The SCADA section explains how to view those readings.

Identify and find equipment components.

3D segmentation and search help identify individual components in their spatial context.

  1. Open the equipment-recognition view and choose a search type in the bottom toolbar.
  2. For a specific component, choose Custom Search, enter a term such as switch, and run the search.
  3. Review the suggested labels in the 3D view and check which parts they refer to. The video shows an electrical cabinet and a pump assembly.

Check automatically suggested labels before using them in your records. Availability of this view is agreed for your deployment.

Review dimensions and add a note.

Add context to the site view with displayed dimensions and equipment information.

  1. Find the displayed measurement lines and the Measurements list in the model.
  2. Read the value beside a line and check which two points the distance refers to.
  3. Use + Annotation to add information at the relevant location. The example adds Vessel with the description 200L.

These clips show existing measurements and adding an annotation. Agree any measurement accuracy needed for design or fabrication before capture.

See readings beside the right equipment.

Connect the spatial view with data from your existing SCADA or IoT systems.

  1. Once the integration is configured, enable Show Live Data in an annotation and select the relevant category and data source. This selection also appears in the annotation video.
  2. Select the connected equipment label in the model, such as Pump 1 or Flow meter.
  3. Review the status, readings and last-update time in the equipment card. Available fields depend on the connected source.

SCADA needs an integration with the application; adding an annotation alone does not connect it. We agree interfaces, access and integration scope with your team.
